Vision
Our vision is to inspire a generation of faith-filled leaders and communities who live out the charism of St. Eugene, encounter Jesus deeply, and create lasting bonds within the Charismatic family, united in mission and celebration.
Mission Purpose Statement
Our mission with the upmost hospitality, is to develop leaders, foster encounters with Jesus, build community, and celebrate faith within the Charismatic family by offering forums, local training, mission experiences, pilgrimages and spiritual resources. Through shared prayer, sacramental life, and participation in Oblate feasts, we create a vibrant, faith-filled community rooted in St. Eugene’s spirituality.
Committee Goals
- Developing Leaders
- Providing a Youth Mission forum every two years for Coordinators and Local Members to grow in their understanding of St. Eugene’s spirituality in the context of working with youth and young adults.
- Resourcing at the local level by Oblates on the committee for the training of adult and youth leaders.
- Provide on-going formation to leaders via social media.
- Aid leaders to integrate the spiritual pillars of Oblate youth as well as the guidelines from the “General Directory for mission with youth” which utilizes the evangelization outline of human, Christian, and saints.
- Encountering Jesus
- Invite youth and young adults to encounter Jesus via the various youth rallies available at diocesan, national, provincial, and regional (CROCUS) levels.
- Provide spiritual resources via social media on a weekly basis, if not more.
- Promote mission experiences at local, national, and international levels,
- Promote a Province Pilgrimage for the International World Youth Days.
- Creating Friendship and Community
- Encourage and support faith sharing at the local level.
- Provide integrating resources that unite Oblates and Oblate youth in a common prayer and mission.
- Provide resource material to be used monthly that provides an ongoing participation in the charism of St. Eugene.
- Network youth and young adult leaders around the Province and encourage the creating of fraternal bonds.
- Celebrating Faith and Hope
- Promote resources that will encourage youth and young adults to participate in the sacraments of the Church as members of the Mazenodian family.
- Provide resources that encourage youth and young adults to celebrate Oblate Feasts.
- Provide a sense of belonging to the Mazenodian family in a ritualized manner.
